Heartwarming Message in a Bottle

Send someone you love a special message!

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need a clean glass bottle, ribbon, aluminum foil, tape, glue, scissors, and red and white paper.

First take the white paper and trim it so it will be the right size to roll and fit inside the bottle.

Next write a wonderful message on the paper and roll it up and tie with a colorful ribbon.

Insert the message into the bottle.Now take the aluminum foil and make a large foil heart with a base that will cover the opening of the bottle.

Place it on top of the bottle and decorate it and your bottle.

Add glue and glitter, stickers, ribbon just below the top, and more!

Valentine Mailbox : Pink Poodle

Today's Craft:
Valentine Mailbox : Pink Poodle

Create a fabulous pink poodle Valentine mailbox for your Valentines!

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need a box, pink construction paper and/or pink wrapping paper, pipe cleaners, tape, glue, scissors, cotton balls (white or pink), 4 small paper cups, and markers.

To begin wrap your box in pink paper - this will be your poodle's body.

Attach 4 cups (with the open side facing down) to the bottom corners of the box to create poodle legs. Cut a slit large enough for Valentines to slip through in the top of the box.

Next cut two large pink hearts - one slightly larger than the other. One heart will be the tail and one with form the poodle's head. Use the picture as a guide.

Attach each to a pipecleaner and cover with cotton balls before attaching them with tape to either end of the box. Add small hearts for eyes on the poddle's head.

Now you are ready to add cotton balls to the poodle's body, along with hearts, to finish off the box.

Valentine Mailbox : Fabulous Frog

Valentine Mailbox : Fabulous Frog

A cute Valentine frog mailbox to collect all your sweet Valentines.

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need a box, green wrapping paper, green, red, and pink construction paper, two small paper cups, scissors, glue, tape, and markers.

To begin wrap your box in green paper and cut a slit in the top large enough to slip Valentines through.

Now cut out a number of pink and red construction paper hearts to deocrate the box with. Next take the two paper cups and either color them green with marker or wrap them in green paper. Attach them to the top of the box to create your frog's eyes - add small red construction hearts to them - use the picture as a guide.

Now cut two large frog legs using the templates provided and attach them to the box.

Cut out a long red paper strip from your construction paper, curl it with your scissors, and attach to the box creating your frog's tongue.

Now decorate your Valentine box more with paper hearts and markers.

Super Silhouettes

Make a marvelous picture from your shadow!

Craft Project Directions:
To make these great shadow portraits, you will need a light source, a wall, black construction paper, background paper, a piece of chalk, and some tape.

Tape a piece of black construction paper to the wall, and have the person whose portrait you are making sit with their profile close to it.

Have the light source on the other side of the person so a shadow portrait is cast on the wall.

Trace the profile silhouette with a piece of white chalk.

Now cut out the profile and glue or tape it to a background piece of white or colored paper.

Add your name and date.

To begin wrap your box or can in colored wrapping paper and cut a slit in the top of it large enough to slip Valentines through. Now you are ready to create a fabulous alien face.

Add pipecleaner hair with pipecleaners and construction paper hearts, glue on alien eyes, heart shaped ears, and a fun upside down heart nose.

Add further decoration and your name with markers.

Create a fabulous pink Flamingo Valentine mailbox this year for Valentine's Day.

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need a box, pink wrapping paper, pink and red construction paper, pink pipecleaners, scissors, markers, glue, tape, and pink crepe paper (optional).

To begin take your box and wrap it in pink. Cut a slit in the top large enough to slip Valentines through.

Next using the template provide cut out a flamingo neck and head from your pink construction paper.

To make it bendable and not flop over, thread it with pink cleaners and tape the end to your box to complete the flamingo. Color in the beak black with your markers.

Now decorate the flamingo further with pink crepe strips to create a feathery look, small red hearts, and more - use your imagination.

To create a Dynamic Dangling Heart Mobile, you will need red construction paper, a piece of ribbon, a paper plate (red or white), glue, scissors, and crayons or markers.

To begin take a paper plate and cut it as an inward spiral.

Next take your red construction paper and cut a large red heart and a large number of smaller red hearts.

Next take your piece of ribbon and attach the ribbon to one end of the spiral.

Attach the very large heart to the other end.

Now glue on small hearts along the spiral and decorate the paper plate with crayons or markers.

Let dry and then use the ribbon to hang your mobile up.

Easy Paper Lanterns

Create some simple paper lanterns from colorful construction paper.

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need colorful construction paper, scissors, a stapler, and markers.

To begin take a piece of paper and fold it in half.

Now hold the paper so the fold is facing you.

Next take your scissors and make vertical cuts all along the fold leaving an inch at either end and about 1/2 inch between cuts.

Next unfold the paper and bend into a roll lengthwise and staple the top edge together and the bottom edge together to create your paper lantern.

Next take another piece of construction and cut a paper strip to staple to the top of your lantern as a holder. Decorate more with markers if you wish.

Work some magic this Valentine's Day.

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need three craft sticks, red and pink ribbon, red and pink construction paper, markers, glue, tape, and scissors.

To begin tape your craft sticks together end to end to create a long wand. Next cut out a large red or pink heart and attach it to one of the craft sticks to create the top of the wand.

Now cut a few lengths of ribbon with your scissors and tie them to the wand below the base of the heart. Curl the ribbons with your scissors.

Now cut a variety of paper hearts in different sizes and colors and glue them onto your wand - add further decoration with your markers.

Chocolate Kiss Flowers

Chocolate and a flower - what could be better?

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need hershey kisses, wodden skewers, green pipecleaners, red cellophane, scissors, and tape.

To begin cut a large square from the red cellophane using your scissors. Next take two chocolate kisses and hold them so the botttom are together - this is your basic flower shape.

Next wrap and gather the red cellophane around the two chocolate kisses. Place the top of the wooden skewer so it meets the end of the bottom chocolate kiss and is covered by the gathered cellophane.

Tape all of this together so it holds and then cover the tape and the wooden skewers by wrapping green pipecleaners around them.

Add pipecleaner leaves to the stem if you wish.

Cut out a dragon and a breath full of fire from a heavier weight paper using the templates provided.

Attach the fire to a small craft stick at the end to create a tab that you can pull in and out.

Next cut a slit in your dragon's mouth that you can slip the fiery breath through and slide it back and forth.

Now decorate your dragon with tissue paper scales, cotton ball or paper eyes, color him with crayon, and add other materials if you wish!

Create a simple groundhog puppet from a paper bag.

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need a brown paper lunch bag, white and black paper, glue, scissors, and crayons or markers.

To begin cut out two round circles for eyes and one round circle for a nose, two small ears, and two small white rectangles for teeth from your colored paper.

Next flip your paper bag over so the bottom of the bag is facing up- the bottom of the bag will become your groundhog's face.

Now take the features you cut out and assemble them on the paper bag- gluing them in place. Use the picture as a guide.

When you are done, let your puppet dry and then decorate it further with colorful crayons or markers.

Create a simple snowman using paper curls and glue.

To begin cut a large or small snowman shape, using the template provided.

Next cut out a lot small thin (about 1/4 inch wide and a few inches long) strips of white paper.

Take one of the strips and wrap it tightly around your pencil to curl it.

Unwrap, dip the edges in glue and add it to your snowman's shape.

Keep repeating this process until your snowman's shape is covered and you have a delightfully dimensional snowman.

Now decorate the rest of your snowman with your markers or crayons.

Cute Penguins - A Snap to Make!

Create a cute arctic friend with the simplest of materials. You might want to also make a little scarf to help him to stay warm!

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need two styrofoam cups, black construction paper, yellow, construction paper, white paper, scissors, glue, tape, crayons, and cotton balls.

To begin take your styrofaom cups and put one on top of the other so the tops are facing. Tape them together. This will be your penguin's body.

Next cut out two penguin wings from your black construction paper. They are the shape of pointed tear drops. Use the picture as a guide.

Glue or tape them to the sides of your penguin's body. Next cut out a bright yellow triangle for a mouth and two bright yellow webbed feet. Tape or glue the feet to the bottom of the bootom cup so they stick out. Glue the penguin's mouth onto the front of the cup.

Next cut out black and white construction paper eyes and glue them onto your penguin. Now decorate further if you wish!

Add cotton ball fur with glue, crayon features, feathers, a tissue paper scarf. You decide!

Create a great ice skating scene on a frozen over lake surrounded by snow.

Craft Project Directions:
To create great winter ice skating scene, you will need a couple of things.

First take a piece of aluminum foil and cut out a large oval shape- this will be your iced over pond.

Place this on a piece of blue background construction paper and added cotton ball snow with glue around the pond.

Next cut out skaters using the templates provided, decorate them, and arrange them as you want on the pond and you will have a wonderful skating scene!
