Sparkling Star Suncatcher

Today's Craft: Sparkling Star Suncatcher

Craft Project Directions:

To make this project you will need wax paper, colorful construction paper, an iron, scissors, crayons, glue, and a crayon sharpener.

Take two pieces of colored construction paper. Draw an star pattern using the template provided and cut it out of the construction paper so you have two identical star shapes. Cut out the center of the star shapes leaving about 3/4 inch border around the outside. This border will frame your star.

Now take the piece of wax paper and fold it in half. Using the shape pattern you already have draw an star shape which is about 1/2 inch larger all the way around. Seperate the wax paper star and cover one with crayon shavings.

Place the wax star half with the crayon on a towel and place the other wax star over it so the shapes match up and iron them together so the crayon melts.

Now take your star frame and attach one half to each side of the wax paper fish. Punch a hole in the top, add a piece of ribbon or string, and hang someplace special. Enjoy Crafting!
