Pointed Ear Lucky Leprechaun Mask

Today's Craft: Pointed Ear Lucky Leprechaun Mask
Add a Leprechaun hat to this mask and you will be the perfect Leprechaun!
To make this craft you will need scissors, colored construction paper, string or ribbon, markers or crayons,and a hole puncher. To begin using the templates cut a leprechaun mask from your colored construction paper. Next fold the ears slightly forward and punch two holes on either side in the center at the beginning of the ear. Now string the ribbon or string through the holes you punched and tie on the other side. Leave a long enough length of string on either side to tie around your head to secure your mask in place. To begin, take your white paper, bend it into a large white cone hat, and tape it so it holds its shape. Fabulous Frog Catching a Fly!

Today's Craft: Fabulous Frog Catching a Fly!
To make this craft project you will need a paper cup, green tissue paper, tape, a red pipe cleaner, black construction paper, white paper, green construction paper scissors, glue, and crayons.To begin, take your tissue paper and cut a long rectangular piece. Wrap this piece around your paper cup completely covering the outside. Tape or glue the tissue paper so it won't shift. Flip your cup upside down and set aside. This will be your frog's body.Next cut out some fabulous frog legs for your frog. You can use your own imagination or the templates provided at the address below. Cut out the frog legs from green construction paper- make sure you cut out four of them. Attach the large ones to the sides of your cup and the small ones to the front. Use the picture as a guide. Also cut out a large and wide triangle for your frog's mouth. Tape or glue the mouth in the center of the frog.Cut some large frog eyes from the white paper and attach them to the front of the cup.Next take your black construction paper and white paper and cut out a very simple black bug body and white bug wings. Assemble your bug and set it aside.Next take your red pipe cleaner and cut it in half. Attach the bug to one end and attach the other end to the frog's mouth in its center. This will be your frog's tongue. Twist the pipe cleaner so it looks like the bug is flying past your frog.Now decorate your frog further with crayons. Today's Craft: Cool Cow Mask
To begin take several craft sticks and tape them together end to end to create a longer craft stick. This will be the holder for your mask.Next using the the templates at the address below or your own imagination, cut out a large cow face and two cow ears.Cut the cow face and the cow ears out of your white construction paper.Next attach the cow ears on either side of the cow face with tape or glue. Use the picture as a guide.Next tape or glue the craft stick mask holder to the cow up the backside center of the mask. Be sure leave enough of the craft stick holder stick out at the bottom to hold onto.Now cut out two large eyes from the mask using your scissors. You will be able to peer through the mask through the eye holes.Next cut out large black spots and squiggly shapes from the black construction paper. Lively Lambs

Today's Craft : Lively Lambs
To make this craft project you will need a paper or stryofoam cup, cotton balls, black construction paper, glue, scissors, white paper, and crayons. To begin, cut out a very basic lamb's head from your black construction paper. Use the picture as a guide. Next cut out a narrow black construction paper strip about three inches long. Tape it to the back of the lamb's head you just cut out. Now take your cup and flip it over. Tape the other end of the black construction paper strip (the one that isn't attached to the lamb's head)to the top of the cup. Now cut out some very simple and small rectangle strips from the black construction paper. Tape or glue these strips so they stick out from under the paper cup and look like little lamb's feet. Use the picture as a guide. Now you are ready to decorate your lively little lamb! Cover your cup with glue and stick on fluffy white cotton balls. Add eyes and any other features to the head, and anything else you want. Let your lamb dry and place him someplace special.

To make this craft project you will need red, pink, and brown construction paper, a background piece of paper, scissors, and glue. To begin cut out a very simple tree trunk for your cherry tree from the brown paper. Next cut out large wavy circular shapes from your pink paper and glue them above the tree trunk on your background piece of paper to create a simple tree- use the picture as a guide. Great Green Goo for You!

Today's Craft: Great Green Goo for You!
A tremendous messy amount of fun!
To make this craft project, follow the recipe below.
First, you will need the following ingredients:
7-8 ounces of white glue
Green Food coloring (if you want to make green)
1 cup of waterBorax
How to Put It All Together: Mix together the glue, green food coloring, and 3/4 cup of water in a mixing bowl. Take another bowl and mix together 1 tablespoon of borax and 1/4 cup of water. Add the borax mixture to the glue mixture until a goo blob forms. Remove the goo blob. Repeat the process with another borax mixture and keep repeating until the glue mixture is gone. When you are finished, knead the blobs of goo together and store in an airtight container. Take out and play!

Create a Larger than Life Balloon Mask!
To create this craft project you will need a large balloon, colored construction paper, tape, glue, pipe cleaners, scissors, markers, and feathers. To begin inflate your balloon and set it aside. Be sure to select a color you like for it will be the dominant color of your mask. Next take several pieces of colorful construction paper and tape them together to form a large tube. This is the base of your mask. Slip it over your head to make sure it fits. Cut eye holes through the side of the paper tube so you will be able to see out. Now rest the large balloon you inflated on top of the paper mask and tape it in place. Now you are ready to decorate your mask! Create a spectacular face on the balloon. Add large eyes, pipe cleaner and paper shred hair, feathers, and more! Add designs and outlandish colors to the neck (paper tube) and let your mask dry. Now wear it in style! Enjoy Crafting!

Chinese Pagoda

Today's Craft: Chinese Pagoda
Make an intriguing Chinese Pagoda from boxes and paper.
To make a Chinese Pagoda you will need several square boxes (each one slightly larger or smaller than another), a pencil, tape, scissors, paints, a paintbrush, and a heavy weight paper like cardstock. To begin make roofs for each of story of your pagoda. Take each box, put it on top of a larger piece of cardstock and trace the square with your pencil. Once you have traced all the boxes, take those pieces of paper and draw diagonals from each of the corners of the squares you traced to the edges of the paper. Now take each piece of paper and crease the paper along the lines you drew and attach it to the top of the box so the edges overhang. Now stack the boxes with the roofs one on top of the other with the smallest one on the top and secure them together with tape. Once assembled decorate them further with paints and let dry.

Create Abe Lincoln from a paper plate!
To make this project you will need a paper plate, black construction paper, scissors, glue, crayons, and tissue paper. First take the paper plate and trim the edges so you have ears on either side and then cut out a small half circle from the inside lower half of the paper plate, leaving about an inch border intact for Abe Lincoln's beard. Next take the black construction paper and cut out a large top hat and attach it to the top of your paper plate. Send a heart felt message to someone special!
To make this project you will need colored construction paper, crayons or markers, and glue. Optional: doilies, glitter, and sequins. First cut out heart shapes of all different sizes from your colored paper and decorate them. Next take another piece of paper and fold it in half. Cut it in the shape that you want your card to be (a heart, a wavy pattern- you decide), making sure to leave part of the fold intact so the card will open and shut. Next decorate your card with the designs you have made, crayons and other materials, write a little note to the person you are giving it to, and let it dry. Groundhog Day is here! Let's have some fun playing around with shadows!
You can create all kinds of shadow shapes and project them against a wall simply by using a paper bag and a flashlight. Take a lunch bag and open it up. Cut a face, or any type of shape out of the bottom of the bag. Now shine your flashlight through the bag in the dark and see what shape the holes you cut in the bag make on the wall.
