Year of the Tiger Masks

Are you ready for Chinese New Year? It's the Year of the Tiger! Let's make some tigers! We can make tiger masks or your very own terrible tiger pictures.

To make a tiger mask, cut a tiger mask shape using the template and attach a colored or regular craft stick to the side or base as a holder, cut out the eye shapes, and decorate with crayon, paper stripes, and other materials.

To make a picture tiger, cut out the tiger shape and attach it to a background piece of colored construction paper. Decorate with crayons, paper stripes, and add a background behind your tiger if you have time!

Groundhog Paper Bag Puppet

Today's Craft: Groundhog Paper Bag Puppet

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need a brown paper lunch bag, white and black paper, glue, scissors, and crayons or markers.

To begin cut out two round circles for eyes and one round circle for a nose, two small ears, and two small white rectangles for teeth from your colored paper.

Next flip your paper bag over so the bottom of the bag is facing up- the bottom of the bag will become your groundhog's face.

Now take the features you cut out and assemble them on the paper bag- gluing them in place. Use the picture as a guide.

When you are done, let your puppet dry and then decorate it further with colorful crayons or markers.
